We always encourage starting treatment as soon as poor oral habits are detected, because the earlier we begin, the easier it is to guide healthy growth patterns. In older children, habits can be a little more ingrained and may require more time and patience. But that is completely okay. The Four Stages of Myobrace System Treatment
Stage 1: Habit Correction
Every great smile starts somewhere, and for Myobrace it all begins with habit correction. In this first stage, children are gently taught to breathe through their nose, keep their lips together when speaking or eating, swallow correctly, and rest their tongue in the right position. Stage 2: Arch Development
